Inflation rose again last month - and is now at its highest for more than five years.
According to the government the consumer prices index rose by 0.6 per cent last month, standing at 4.6 per cent.
The data shows communication, restaurant and hotel and clothing costs have all risen sharply over the past year.
Also contributing to the rise is air travel, which has risen more than 16 per cent in the last 12 months.
