An independent inspection of Manx Care's services is due to take place in the next year.
That's according to Health Minister Claire Christian, who was asked about it by Rushen MHK Michelle Haywood in the House of Keys this week.
Ms Christian says the aim is to have the health service formally scrutinised at least once every five years.
The minister said her department was already looking at who'd carry it out, and explained why inspections are vital:
