Making sure the Island's education service is fit for the future will need increased communication and cooperation with head teachers.
That's according to the Island's Education Minister - Dr Alex Allinson who spoke in the House of Keys yesterday.
It comes following the news the draft Education Bill will go no further.
The Minister said his Department is working with the teaching profession to find the best way forward and work on the Bill is not wasted.
Reviews on which exams pupils sit, how the quality of education is assessed and the governance of schools will be started.
