The Braddan incinerator has had to shut down for the third time this week - because someone threw away a three-foot tree stump.
The energy-from-waste plant is offline after the stump blocked the system, the third blockage in seven days.
There'll now be extra spot-checks to find oversized waste items before they can cause any problems.
The plant will be restarted on Saturday.
