Police say firearms officers responded to an incident in the north of the Island today.
Earlier, they'd asked people to avoid the Ballajora area of Maughold during what they described as "an isolated incident".
In an update, they say specially trained firearms officers were deployed and the incident has now been safely resolved.
They're thanking the public for their understanding and assistance.
