One of the Isle of Man\'s most historic and significant nationalist sites has been targeted by vandals.
Phallic symbols have been painted on the Hango Hill memorial outside Castletown.
Police have revealed it happened on Christmas Eve and are appealing to the public for information.
The annual Illiam Dhone memorial service is due to take place at the site of his execution on Monday; an event attended by many nationalists.
Sergeant Paul Kemp is leading the investigation and keen to speak to anyone who may have seen with blue paint on their hands or clothes.
