A weather warning for ice remains in place until later this morning.
The yellow alert came into force last night and runs until 10am.
Forecasters predicted temperatures dropping to as low as freezing - which may result in ice across various routes.
The areas most likely to be affected are well sheltered spots in central and western parts of the Island.
