The weather managed to clear up in time for yesterdays practice session to get underway so the Island turned in to a race track for the evening.

However, the rain that had fallen for much of the night and morning meant that there were a few damp patches -  riders were warned to be cautious with the track particularly wet at Ramsey Hairpin.

After the extremely rapid speeds of the opening night, many were wondering if the 130mph barrier could be broken this early on but the riders were simply concerned with getting miles and laps under their belt and ensuring machine set up was the prime focus.

Hutchinson again was the fastest of the night.

He went out on his Superbike and was quickest through the Sulby speed trap at 189mph and recorded a 128.017mph lap to again be the quickest for the second night in a row.

15 times TT winner John McGuinness had problems - his second lap on his Superstock bike was only 112.11mph, the Honda sounding like there were issues with it.

Douglas man Dave Molyneux and his teammate Patrick Farrance were quickest in the siedecars, getting over 114 mph lap.

There were a few injruies, American Jimmy Vanderhaar was reported as walking back following an incident at Governors Bridge.

Chris Bradshaw sustained a shoulder injury at Keppel Gate and sidecar duo Glyn Jones and Jason O Connor were reported to have ankle and hand abraisions following an accident at Lambfell Mooar.
