Greener buses will be on the Island in time for TT.
Nick Black, chief executive of the Department of Infrastructure, made the announcement during a sitting of Tynwald's Environment and Infrastructure Policy Review Committee.
He explained the department has ordered six hybrid buses which should arrive in time for the racing festival.
The vehicles were trialled last September.
