One of the Isle of Man's longest running festivals gets underway today (Saturday).
The Manx Music, Speech & Dance Festival (or the Guild) will run until next weekend.
The annual celebration of music, dance and the spoken word is held every year at the Villa Marina in Douglas.
Competition categories include sword dancing, Manx Folk Dancing, Bible Reading, Songs from the Musicals and Public Speaking.
