Hundreds Of Manx Residents To Have Heart Screening This Weekend

Heart screening for almost 500 people will be taking place this weekend.

Heart screening for almost 500 people will be taking place this weekend.

14 to 35 year olds are going to be tested for undiagnosed heart defects.

It all came about after Craig Lunt died suddenly in his sleep in 2005. His family set up a charity in his name and say they want to help other Island residents.

His mum Paula told 3FM it affects 1 in 500 people so everybody needs to make they don't become another statistic.

Charity Cardiac Risk in the Young (CRY) is bringing equipment and qualified staff to screen individuals all weekend at the Palace Hotel.
