How much money do the Island's individual group practices cost Manx Care to operate?
That was the question for written answer put to the Minister for Health and Social Care, Lawrie Hooper.
Minister Hooper said the total figures are based on the number of patients registered with that practice, extra payments for specific treatments, and payments based on the GP quality outcomes framework.
Of the 11 practices on Island, from 2021 Ramsey Group Practice cost the most at just over £6.5m, they also have the largest number of registered patients, Kensington Group Practice in Douglas cost just over £3.8m with Peel's practice costing just over £3.6m to the department.
Mr Hooper said things like administrative staff pay, consumables, equipment, locum costs and insurances all factor in to the total amounts.
