As of today, the Island's hospital sites and GP surgeries have become smoke-free.
The new rules also apply to healthcare facilities on Westmoreland Road in Douglas and Crookall House headquarters.
It's the first stage of a new policy by Manx Care to foster healthy lifestyles and prevent avoidable smoking-related illness.
Meanwhile, from October 1, all other premises run by DHSC or Manx Care will join the no-smoking policy, with the exception of residential facilities including Reayrt-ny-Baie, Southlands and Cummal Mooar.
Elsewhere, April 1, 2022, will see the remaining residential complexes bring in the rules, including nursing and care homes as well as supported living accommodation.
