Hospice launching End of Life Experience Survey

Hospice Isle of Man is launching an End of Life Experience Survey.

It'll be available from the Civil Registry Office in Douglas from mid-August, with the hope of rolling it out across the rest of the Island after this initial phase.

The survey aims to understand the views of those who have recently experienced the end of life care of a loved one.

It's hoped to help the Hospice and other relevant services to understand and improve end of life care for all who need it on the Island.

Anne Mills, CEO of Hospice Isle of Man said: "We anticipate around 64 per cent of deaths on the Isle of Man could benefit from specialist palliative care, currently Hospice cares for around 30% of all deaths which means 34% of people who are dying and their families are not currently supported by Hospice."
