Former Island Prison Put to Good Use As Film Set
The now dormant Victoria Road prison has been put to good use over the past week acting a location for a film shoot.
The former prison has been laying empty since inmates were moved to Jurby back in 2008.
The film is a British Horror called Slasher House, its being produced by a company based in Preston.
The rest of the picture will now be shot in Lancashire.
It’s anticipated the film will be ready for a 2011 Halloween release.
