Lawrie Hooper has announced his resignation from two government departments over Chief Minister Alf Cannan's cabinet reshuffle this week.
The Ramsey MHK has stepped down as political member for both the Department of Infrastructure and Department of Environment, Food and Agriculture.
In a post on Facebook, Mr Hooper said Cannan's reshuffle which saw two ministers dismissed represented a "significant shift away from common sense".
He also blamed what he called the government's 'u-turn' of reducing April's planned minimum wage rise, adding it won't give details of what new policies will cost
