Those behind a programme explaining to young people the realities of homelessness says the initiative is having a positive effect.
Housing Matters has spoken to thousands of pupils in Manx primary and secondary schools about the matter - and says it's seen a 21 per cent drop in the amount of under 21's contacting the charity during the 2018/19 year compared to the previous 12 months.
The charity's Peer Education Co-ordinator, Katie Farrall, says it's contacted by dozens of teenagers who are without permanent accommodation who need to be equipped to make informed decisions.
The project started in 2017 and is supported by Island developer Dandara and has engaged with more than 2,100 local students since its launch.
