Manx Utilities says it wants to demolish three holiday chalets in Laxey's conservation area to make way for a sewage pumping station.
It's applied for planning permission to tear down the chalets on Old Laxey Hill as it builds a new sewage network for the area.
It says the wood buildings make no significant contribution to the area's architectural or historic interest.
The work also requires registered building consent, although they're not on the Protected Buildings Register.
