Just over a week since it was announced that HMV had gone into administration, a restructuring specialist has taken control of the high street retailer.
Hilco has control of the company although the deal doesn't yet see them officially owning it.
Hilco were seen as the frontrunners to buy up HMV's debt, after doing the same for their Canada based outlets.
It's positive news for the 4,000 plus staff and of course the Douglas branch based in the Strand Shopping Centre.
