High tides and strong winds spark flood warning

There's a warning about possible flooding around harbour areas this lunchtime as winds and tides spark an amber alert.

High winds and a spring tide could mean flooding in harbours around the Island just before midday.

Most likely to be affected are the Tongue, North Quay, and Lake Road in Douglas, as well as West Quay, Mezeron Corner and Parliament Street in Ramsey

Temporary defences have been placed around Castletown Harbour and Ramsey Harbour.
