QEII High School has been selected for the world-wide Zayed Future Energy Prize for innovation in renewable energy and sustainability.
The school is a finalist alongside Romania and one of 552 entries.
The prize money of up to US $100,000 would help QEII to combine a school biomass heating system with a wind turbine.
The winner will be announced at an awards ceremony on Monday, January 20th.
