A Hermes delivery driver will be sentenced next month after admitting stealing parcels he was supposed to deliver.
24-year-old Joshua Maxwell Ffrench, of West View in Peel, took two packages containing maternity clothing valued at £47.
At Douglas Courthouse yesterday, he admitted the offence which took place between Boxing Day last year and February 22nd.
His girlfriend, 37-year-old Georgina Kathleen Moore, appeared with him in the dock and pleaded guilty to handling stolen goods between the same dates.
The court heard the intended recipient of the parcel had contacted police after the goods she'd ordered failed to arrive.
She'd noticed items which were identical to those that she'd purchased - but not received - were being advertised for sale by Moore on a Facebook buying and selling group.
Officers searched the duo's home and recovered a number of items from the address - Hermes confirmed Ffrench was the delivery driver responsible for the parcel.
Social Enquiry Reports have been requested before the two are sentenced on September 28th - they've been bailed in the meantime.
