Policy and Reform Minister Chris Thomas says the government's already taking steps to make sure the Isle of Man has enough workers and companies.
In recent months, the government has been worried by a lack of skilled workers -tweaking the work permit system to let more qualified staff live here.
Mr Thomas says some aspects of the system have created problems for businesses and would-be workers alike.
But he says help is now at hand:
