The inquest into the death of a Lincolnshire pilot who died when the helicopter he was flying crashed in the Baldwin Valley has been reconvened today.
48-year-old Matthew Chapman died from his injuries on June 6th 2015 - the Louth resident has flown to the Island to drop off two passengers at the Creg-ny-Baa who were watching the TT Races.
Findings from the Air Accident Investigation Branch, which were released earlier this year, show he struggled to retain control of the Bell Jetranger after getting caught in 'challenging wind conditions'.
Witnesses reported seeing the aircraft rotate and roll before pitching - Mr Chapman suffered multiple injuries with the report stating that the fuselage impact was 'not survivable for the pilot'.
