Humanity and equality need to be adopted into abortion legislation on the Isle of Man so that unborn children are treated equally.
That's according to a campaign group which has set up a new online petition to lobby the Health and Social Care Minister.
HEAR claims it wants Tynwald to introduce reforms to make laws and medical practice 'better protect and serve' children who are not yet born.
It's used the platform to put forward details of the policies it's proposing saying it's 'imperative' that people who want the Island to be 'humane and progressive' lobby the new government.
Policies include more support for women who have an unplanned pregnancy, a repeal of abortion for disability and better pre-natal care for parents who are given that diagnosis.
The group also wants to tighten 'conscience protections' for medical professionals and strengthen mental health safeguards and provision of psychiatric care.
HEAR says it wants to 'lead the way in affirming the equal dignity of all human beings' despite claiming Manx abortion law is already some of the 'most relatively enlightened' in the world.
