The Island's Treasury minister says he told the former Health and Social Care minister preparing a contingency plan for Manx Care was vitally important.
In a question in Tynwald's sitting this week Onchan MHK Julie Edge asked Dr Alex Allinson to publish the plans he asked Manx Care to put in place.
Dr Allinson said he wrote to Lawrie Hooper to discuss concerns about overspending.
He also says he told Mr Hooper how important a back-up plan was.
