Arsonists are thought to be responsible for a number of fires in the south of the Island which tied up fire crews for around three hours last night.
The Fire and Rescue Service says firefighters from Castletown, Rushen and Douglas were called to a field near Poulsom Park in Castletown at around 1.15am.
They found a number of hay bales alight as well as an area of grass, and needed an off-road vehicle to tackle the blazes.
The service says it believes the cause was malicious.
