An Island vet says a seagull which needed an operation will be back on his feet again soon.
Arg Beiyn Veterinary Practice in Onchan precinct says the poorly bird was brought in yesterday - and X-rays showed he's swallowed a fishing hook.
However, after surgery to remove the offending item he's now making a good recovery.
Vets say he's now called Captain Hook, and should be fit to be returned to the wild in around a fortnight's time.
