A Foxdale man is awaiting sentencing after being caught hiding cash in his attic.
Police found over £17,000 when they searched 44-year-old Paul Kneen's home on June 21st.
The cash was recovered from a bag hidden in a laundry basket in the loft and in a safe in the bedroom; police also found cannabis in the kitchen.
At Douglas Courthouse on Thursday Kneen, of Archallagan Terrace, admitted possessing the criminal property and Class B drug.
In his basis of plea, which the prosecution rejected, Kneen said the money was income from his work as a taxi driver which he'd not declared on his tax form.
A Newton Hearing will take place at the Court of General Gaol Delivery before Kneen is sentenced - he was bailed until his next appearance at that court on December 7th.
