The Isle of Man Green Party is asking for an explanation for the delay to the Climate Change Bill.
After being approved by the House of Keys and Legislative Council in April this year, the bill has not become law as it's not yet been accepted by the Crown of England.
Following the House of Commons, and Tynwald, declaring a climate emergency in 2019, the Green Party believe the Climate Change Bill is a fundamentally important piece of legislation.
They've written to the Chief Minister, the Lieutenant Governor and the Secretary of State for Justice, Dominic Raab, requesting an explanation for why the bill has not been granted Royal Assent after seven months and urging them to do everything in their power to enact it.
