The Manx Hospitality Partnership have said that the Manx Grand Prix continues to be a valuable contributor to their members' businesses.
Commenting on the Department of Economic Development's analysis of MGP costs, they say the festival is invaluable in times of dwindling visitor numbers.
As part of the findings it was revealed that the MGP does not provide a tangible contribution to government's funds.
The Partnership say however that it's an essential building block in the portfolio of events that make Isle of Man tourism a viable industry.
The MHP say they now look forward to actively contributing to the consultation on how to make the festival more popular.
