Residents are being advised afternoon appointments with GP's won't be available this Wednesday.
Doctors will be attending their latest quarterly education session and so slots will not be possible between 1pm and 6pm.
Anyone who needs to see a doctor urgently on Wednesday should ring their practice and schedule an appointment with the on-call GP.
However, surgeries will remain open during that period for collecting test results and prescriptions as well as booking future appointments.
