Government will keep an 'open mind' regarding legislation which could see smacking banned on the Isle of Man.
It comes following Wales outlawing the physical punishment of children (in any form) by removing the 'reasonable punishment' legal defence, earlier this month.
Justice and Home Affairs Minister Jane Poole-Wilson says currently the main focus is elsewhere, but she remains open-minded:
