The government has held talks with the UK Treasury about Manx access to credit cards with UK lenders.
That's according to Enterprise Minister Tim Johnston, who was asked in Tynwald what the government is doing to make sure residents have access to services.
Mr Johnston stated that the department has been in contact with UK providers and been working with Jersey and Guernsey, who have similar issues.
It comes as many commercial card providers have recently made the decision not to issue new cards to Island residents.
The UK Treasury has also been made aware of the Manx government's concerns.
