Government staff parking plans proving unpopular

Plans to charge government workers and politicians to pay to park in central Douglas are unpopular.  

That's the admission from the Infrastructure Minister who is bringing forward the proposals in Tynwald this week. 
 
Phil Gawne says government has to find new ways to raise its income: 
 
 
If approved senior employees, and members of Tynwald, will end up paying £770 per year for their parking space - Mr Gawne says the fee will be brought in gradually:
