85,000 trees - one for each Island resident - will be planted on Island to help reduce carbon emissions.
The move was announced this week by Chief Minister, Howard Quayle MHK, and they will be planted in a 150-acre woodland area yet to be confirmed with a further 1,000 to be placed in urban areas.
It's part of a five-year strategy with Mr Quayle saying the vision is to have 'more woodlands and trees than the Island has had for more than a generation' by 2024.
The government is aiming to achieve net zero carbon emission by 2050 and officially recognised a climate change emergency in Tynwald last week.
