Wednesday, 27 September 2023 07:35

By Emma Draper - Local Democracy Reporter

A housing association could be created to manage social housing stock on the Island.

Five options are being considered, including an association purely for the Department of Infrastructure’s own property - something deemed the most ‘cost effective’ by consultancy firm DTP.

Other options include bringing local authorities together into regions and using a UK housing association ‘parent’.

Gary Kermode is the Head of Facilities Maintenance, Public Estates and Housing and Lindsay Wood is a member of Andium Homes in Jersey:

The report is scheduled to be seen at next month’s Tynwald.
