Chief Minister Alf Cannan has scotched suggestions the government has bought properties in Douglas which used to belong to Shoprite.
Douglas North MHK John Wannenburgh asked a question for written reply about how much the chalets at Little Switzerland had cost.
Mr Cannan, however, said the properties - which were owned by the Shoprite Group - hadn't been bought by any arm of government.
He added there are current no plans for their acquisition.
