The government's started consulting with businesses over possible changes to the events licensing process.
That's according to Justice Minister Jane Poole-Wilson, in response to a Tynwald question for written reply from Peel and Glenfaba MHK Kate Lord-Brennan.
Mrs Poole Wilson says the plan is to make it easier for licence holders to host private special events, without applying for a separate licence each time.
It follows on from discussions with hospitality businesses from the Licensing Forum, with the minister saying a pilot scheme for the changes is planned this year.
