The island's Chief Minister has congratulated the first woman to take on the same office in Guernsey.
Alf Cannan took to X to send a message to his future counterpart in the fellow Crown Dependency, Lindsay de Sausmarez.
She has been elected this week as President of the Policy and Resources Committee, which in Guernsey is the title for the post of Chief Minister.
Mr Cannan said he looks forward to working with her on "the many shared challenges and opportunities that we face in our respective islands".
