The government says grades for GCSE results across the Island this year are up from 2017.
They say the number of pupils who gained five or more Level 2 passes for 2018 has risen to the second highest level to date.
Education, Sport and Culture Minister, Graham Cregeen, says Island students have achieved great success in spite of changes to the curriculum and qualifications.
Over 800 pupils collected their envelopes on Thursday.
