The government has appointed Chris Thomas MHK as its new Children's Champion.
The role involves being a dedicated representative for children and young people in care, as well as those leaving it.
Chief Minister Alf Cannan's administration says the role is part of its commitment to youth - along with policies like raising the child benefit threshold to an income of £90,000 a year.
Mr Thomas succeeds Kerry Sharpe in the job, who was responsible for founding Tynwald’s Youth Select Committee.
