The Government have taken a proactive step toward ensuring each Department’s ambitious saving targets are met over the next 3 years.
In an effort to keep on top of the saving targets they have appointed a Transforming Government Programme Director.
Dan Davies will head up a central team resourced from within Government who will work with each Department to deliver the cost savings set out in February’s budget.
It’s thought with this team focussed on that objective the Government will be able to rebalance public finances by the year 2014/15.
Another team is soon to be assembled, they will be responsible for recruitment, redeployment and employee relations across Government.
