The government's cybersecurity centre has issued advice to organisations after a sharp rise in the number of people hit by data breaches.
Last week, the Information Commissioner's Office revealed despite a drop in the number of incidents, there were more than five times as many people whose data was affected.
Now, the Cyber Security Centre for the Isle of Man says it's reminding organisations to put appropriate safeguards in place.
They say that includes strong passwords, multi-factor authentication, regular patching and updates, secure and tested back-ups and good business continuity.
