An Island golf club will celebrate landmark occasion with a series of competitive tournaments next month.
Peel Golf Club will host its 125th Anniversary Open Competition over five days in September.
The occasion will begin with the Men's Open Medal Competition on Saturday, August 5, followed by the Junior Open Competition on Tuesday, September 8 and then concluding with the Ladies Open Stableford Competition on Thursday, September 10.
Club Captain at the venue, Sally Morgan-Moodie, says: "Peel Golf Club has come a long way since 1895 and we are excited to be celebrating our 125th anniversary year.
"The golf week is set to be an action-packed few days which I’m sure will produce some nail-biting moments across all three competitions – we’re really looking forward to welcoming players from across the Island."
The open competition will be supported by Island developer, Dandara, whose Managing Director, Seamus Nugent, adds they've had a close affiliation with club over the year and are happy to be supporting the milestone event.
The contest will also comprise a team tournament, sponsored by Sure, on Wednesday, September 9 and Friday, September 11.
The tournament is open to golfers from across the Island, with all levels of experience and ability welcome - more information and how to register is at proshop@peelgc.com
