An Onchan MHK says some of his political colleagues need thicker skin after a debate into whether language used by Chief Minister Alf Cannan was unparliamentary.
In Tynwald this week, a standards committee report recommended Mr Cannan withdraw some comments made during a clash with Ramsey MHK Lawrie Hooper.
But the court rejected the motion, and Rob Callister MHK says some of his political colleagues would benefit from developing a thicker skin.
On Facebook, he says publicly elected representatives must be prepared to endure criticism and a few political bruises.
