Commissioner declares for Ramsey seat

A former Ramsey commissioner has declared his intention to stand for the House of Keys at the upcoming General Election.

John McDonough was unsuccessful in his first attempt to take a Ramsey seat in 2011 but has now decided to give it another go.

He says he would like to see 'far more restorative justice type punishments' from the courts where those convicted of an offence could work on projects such as tidying communal gardens where appropriate.
