Garff Commissioners say their office will be closed this week as they deal with a request under data protection laws.
The local authority says the building on New Road in Laxey will be shut until November 28 as staff process a Subject Data Access Request and search documents going back to 2008.
You can leave telephone messages on 861241 or email admin@garff.im and urgent matters will still be dealt with.
Commissioners have apologised for any inconvenience caused by the closure.
