Gardeners encouraged to get 'batty'

Gardeners are being asked to help support the wildlife in their gardens - with a focus on bats.

The Manx Wildlife Trust teams up with the Royal Horticultural Society each October half term to try and make gardens a little more 'wildlife friendly'.

According to the MWT in the UK alone gardens total a greater area than all the nature reserves added together.

Dawn Dickens is the biodiversity education officer - last year they did hedgehogs, now they're raising awareness for the importance of bats:
