Future of Summerland Site up For Debate in House of Keys
In Tynwald today the topic of the Summerland site will be up for discussion.
Onchan MHK and Liberal Vannin Leader Peter Karran will be asking Tourism Minister Martyn Quayle what his Department are currently doing to get the site ready for development in the future.
Plans on the proposed Wave project which would have seen a large leisure facility built on the site were scrapped in October of last year due to disagreements between the Sefton Group and the Government over the terms for the lease of the building.
The shell of the Summerland building now remains and since the plans for the Wave were withdrawn there has been nothing more mentioned about.
